We have an opportunity to lead a critical function shaping the resilience and stability of a global business. In this role, you will drive strategy, innovation, and execution across business resiliency and incident management. You will operate at the center of evolving risk landscapes, influencing senior stakeholders and strengthening global response capabilities. This is a high-impact role where your expertise will help protect critical services and enable sustainable growth.

As a Business Resiliency and Incident Management Head, you will lead global business continuity and incident management programs, ensuring resilience across operational, regulatory, and jurisdictional frameworks. You will define and execute strategies that strengthen planning, testing, and recovery capabilities, while enhancing frameworks to address evolving threats. Working across regions, you will ensure governance, regulatory compliance, and effective crisis response to protect critical business services. You will also drive innovation through automation and advanced solutions to improve operational resilience outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Business Resiliency: Lead the business resiliency program (plan-test-recover) maintaining alignment to firmwide standards, regulatory and legal entity requirements globally. Enhance business resiliency practices with a clearly identified strategy, design, and implementation that is approved by AWM Resilience management.
  • Incident & Crisis Management: Leads the Incident Management Response team who provide global coverage to manage operational disruptive events (e.g., technology, facility, third party, cyber, etc). Drive prompt and effective planning and recovery capabilities when disruptions occur to AWM critical business services. This role also serves as the EMEA Crisis Senior Lead, responsible for coordinating recovery for incidents occurring within the EMEA regular day and providing timely communication to senior management.
  • Governance and Oversight: Ensure adequate governance to monitor the health of the business resiliency and incident management programs, provide periodic updates to senior management including reporting/metrics, attend relevant committees/forums and ensure timely escalation of identified resiliency vulnerabilities and raise emerging risks.
  • Legal Entity Management: Lead the Legal Entity Management program including defining and maintaining entity governance requirements across AWM’s legal entities. Ensure compliance with all legal entity and operational resiliency requirements within each of the jurisdictions in which AWM operates.
  • AI Solutions and Automation: Define strategies, design and implement AI solutions and automation, approved by AWM Resilience Management, that streamlines workflow, detect and highlight vulnerabilities, and automate low-joy value tasks to support more effective business resiliency planning, testing and recovery.
  • Exam Readiness and Management: Lead exam readiness activities by establishing a framework of clearly defined pre-exam tasks to be completed in advance of exams, active examination management by ensuring appropriate documentation and timely responses to requests for information, and post-exam support of management response, corrective action planning or enhancement opportunities, where required.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Extensive leadership experience in business resiliency, operational resilience, and/or business continuity management within financial services, with demonstrated experience managing a multi-region program for a complex organization.
  • Deep experience delivering regulatory and remediation commitments in complex, multi-jurisdiction environments, translating expectations into executable controls, governance routines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Executive stakeholder management capability, with a track record of influencing multiple levels of the organization by driving collaboration and agreement across a complex mix of stakeholder needs.
  • Proven track record leading cross-functional transformation initiatives with strong change management discipline.
  • Strong analytical and operational judgment, with the ability to set priorities under pressure, establish clear accountability, and sustain execution through ambiguity.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to communicate technical information in a format that is consumable by a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for senior management and regulator-facing engagement.
  • Proven people management skills including demonstrated ability to coach/mentor, foster team building for a globally distributed team, provide performance management, create an inclusive, high performing culture, and foster a supportive workplace.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Demonstrated experience with UK and EU operational resilience expectations and direct involvement in regulatory interactions, exams, or remediation governance.
  • Data and analytics fluency to produce executive dashboards, MI, and metrics (including KRIs/KPIs), with experience improving data quality, lineage, and reconciliation across source systems.
  • Experience aligning resiliency outcomes to legal entity governance, including oversight models that support multiple legal entities and jurisdiction-specific requirements.
