As a Loan Origination Senior Associate within the EMEA Origination Deal Closing and Quality Control Team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Debt Capital Markets (DCM – consisting of Leveraged Finance (LF) and Investment Grade (IG) Transactions), and Credit Risk for all syndicated deal originations and transactions to ensure new loan agreements and amendments are operationally viable, recorded accurately, and any exceptions are managed accordingly – continuously operating within a controls‑focused environment, and ensuring operational excellence throughout the loan life.
Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) provides global end‑to‑end loan origination, servicing, restructuring and trading support. Services are tailored to the needs of the client and lines of business, ranging from bilateral to large syndicated loan agreements. Services provided include:

Job responsibilities:
- Review Loan Market Association (LMA) standard documents and other legal documents including New, Amendment and Reinstatement agreements, and related agreements.
- Supporting daily deal setup and quality control operations efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate delivery while collaborating with team members and wider EMEA Origination to resolve discrepancies.
- Take ownership of complex loan transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery across the loan lifecycle.
- Lead and act as SME in team projects and initiatives focused on process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including credit, and operations teams, to resolve inquiries and facilitate seamless transaction processing.
- Review and interpret loan documentation, applying attention to detail and analytical skills to ensure operational feasibility and risk mitigation.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Maintain a strong controls environment, adhering to established procedures and policies, and escalating issues as appropriate.
- Contribute to a culture of excellent client service, supporting programs to enhance processes, reduce risk, and increase scalability.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team, supporting the development and engagement of colleagues.
- Ensure that Credit and Operations systems are enriched with deal details, to a high degree of accuracy at all times.

- Experience in financial services, banking operations, or lending services, with a strong understanding of loan products and transaction management.
- Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex documentation and manage multiple high‑priority tasks.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams.

- Familiarity with trade settlement processes, regulatory requirements, and operational risk management.
- Experience with LMA standard documentation and knowledge of the LMA Standard Terms and Conditions.
- Strong data and technology literacy, with the ability to analyze data and implement innovative solutions.
- Direct working knowledge of LoanIQ (specifically in the area of loan administration and deal building).
- Experience in process automation, continuous improvement, and change management initiatives.
- Developing proficiency in leveraging technology, including AI/ML, to create innovative lending and trading solutions.
- Experience in preparing quantitative reports and supporting strategic planning efforts.
