Job Description

As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within Capital Technology, you utilize strong knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies across multiple applications of moderate scope.
Job responsibilities:
- Apply technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, focusing on improving data and systems operating at scale, and ensure end-to-end monitoring of applications.
- Resolve most nuances and determine appropriate escalation paths.
- Execute conventional approaches to build or troubleshoot technical problems.
- Support daily activities related to standard capacity process applications.
- Partner with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and oversee remediation statuses.
- Consider upstream/downstream data, systems, or technical implications.
- Make significant decisions for projects involving multiple technologies and applications.
- Contribute to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure disciplines such as hardware, networking, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, etc.).
- Experience with multiple cloud technologies and the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds.
- Desire to expand infrastructure engineering knowledge, data fluency, and automation skills.
- Experience with implementing cost-effective solutions and familiarity with FinOps practices.
- Experience managing Application Modernization initiatives, including lifecycle management, upgrades, and security enhancements.
- Ability to work with multiple teams to prioritize non-functional requirements to meet program targets.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Experience with Apache Airflow and Databricks.
- Experience collaborating with product owners and multiple feature teams.
