As an Agile Program Manager - Technical Program Manager with a deep technical background, you'll act as a servant leader for your team(s) by facilitating clear communication with management and the team, and across multiple partner teams. You will take ownership of your team's performance by understanding the intricacies of the business and technology. You will act as a catalyst in changing the team and organizational culture towards agile delivery. You will also own delivery of your team's business-aligned objectives, produce project plans, provide regular status reporting to key stakeholders, manage risks and resolve any potential roadblocks.
Our Corporate & Investment Bank builds and maintains the technology that helps us safely service the world’s important corporations, governments, and institutions. CIB's solutions help the bank provide strategic advice, raise capital, manage risk, and extend liquidity in markets spanning over 100 countries around the world. The position is within JPMorgan's CIB Payments - Digital Channels and Connectivity organization, responsible for mission-critical client-facing payments applications. The role requires working with multiple large teams on multiple simultaneous product development value streams.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with the Product Owner to align the team with the product vision, sprint goals, and other necessary information.
- Previous experience with JIRA, Confluence, Figma, and other collaboration tools.
- Define an agility improvement roadmap and iteratively focus on improvements.
- Create an environment of collaboration within the teams that allows for open dialogue and productive solutions for resolving conflicts.
- Champion continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and increase productivity; coach teams to conduct continuous improvement events.
- Seek opportunities for improvement to the overall effectiveness of teams and the organization using data.
- Communicate organizational impediments to leadership; proactively clear impediments for the team.
- Embrace the concept of continuous learning in your own journey and instill the same in the team(s) you lead.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Strong familiarity and adherence to core Agile values and principles.
- Experience in scaled agile frameworks such as SAFe.
- Experience as a practicing Agility Lead/Scrum Master on a team.
- Strong facilitation and organizational experience in large group settings with participants up and down the organizational ladder.
- Ability to coach and mentor.
- Current or previous technical development experience.
- Exposure to modern engineering practices like Unit Test-Driven Development, Acceptance Test-Driven Development, and Continuous Integration.
- A mindset of servant leadership.
- Expertise with Agile and Scrum frameworks and their application in product development and delivery organizations.
- Ability to collaborate with and influence people at various levels.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Leverage skills from coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution, and more to serve the team(s).
- Certifications: Certified Scrum Master or equivalent.
- Certifications: SAFe® Agilist, ICP ATF - Agile Team Facilitation, ICP ACC Certification – Agile Coaching.
