We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level. As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate and Investment Bank, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products, including quality assurance automation solutions, in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. You are responsible for implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions to support the firm’s business objectives.
Working on the 'Transact' application, you will gain knowledge of front-to-back foreign exchange processing, from order and trade execution through to confirmation and settlement.
- Build and enhance automated tests and frameworks across the Transact UI and back end services
- Integrate automated tests and frameworks into CI/CD pipelines
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for QA automation, ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Contribute to test design, testing priorities, test status tracking within an agile development environment
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Add to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Formal training or certification on Software Engineering or Quality Automation and proficient applied experience.
- Ability to manage stakeholders at various levels of seniority
- Experience designing and implementing robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks for web, API, and microservices
- Experience with automation and testing tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured, or Karate Framework
- Experience writing test automation scripts using BDD tools (e.g. Cucumber, Gherkin) and working within Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Ability to support and evolve CI/CD platforms for continuous testing, with hands-on experience using Git, GitLab runners, or equivalent tools
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to cloud technologies
- Experience in performance test execution using tools like JMeter
- Strong exposure to debugging production issues by checking application and monitoring logs
- Knowledge of SQL
- Understanding of application resiliency and security best practices
- Experience with open-source UI test tools and frameworks
