As an Analyst or Associate in our Corporate and Private Side Sales Equity and Credit team, you will support episodic transactions as part of the private side markets business. You will assist in originating, structuring, and negotiating tailored private credit transactions for corporate clients and funds. You will collaborate with investment banking departments and trading desks, ensuring a unique and dynamic role within the firm. Based in London but operating as part of a global team, you will work closely with our continental European colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and expansion of the private credit product offering, with a focus on alternative and illiquid structures.
  • Partner with marketers/salesforce, investment bankers, capital markets bankers, and traders to help structure and distribute transactions.
  • Assist in opening up distribution channels within the private credit market through in-person engagement and product education of the public side syndicate and sales functions.
  • Work closely with control functions in market, credit, reputation risk, compliance, legal, accounting, and tax.

Qualifications

  • Relevant work experience in investment banking or private capital markets in a front‑office role.
  • Exposure to clients and counterparties, including portfolio managers in funds or senior management in corporates.
  • Understanding of complex financing arrangements and private credit products.
  • Ability to interact confidently with colleagues across lines of business and functions at all levels within the organisation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage and influence partners and stakeholders.
  • Reliable and collaborative team player, comfortable working in a small, hands‑on team.

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
