The International Benefits team is responsible for the strategy, design and analysis of the Firm’s pension and benefits product outside of the US. Within this, the EMEA ex-UK team works with colleagues and advisers in EMEA locations, covering c. 8500 employees, to design competitive benefit offerings and present recommendations to senior HR and business leaders. As an EMEA ex-UK Pensions & Benefits Specialist in the International Benefits team you will primarily focus on a portfolio of specific locations. You will also have the flexibility to assist with other projects depending on the workload demands of the team and your skills/experience to date.
Job Responsibilities
- Advising on the firm's pension, benefit and wellness programmes for all non-UK offices within the region: working with benefits consultants to review location benefit strategies including gaining market insights and analysing programs versus market; proposing new benefits or enhancements including costs; selecting vendors including RFPs and supporting their onboarding; presenting proposals and getting agreement to changes from senior management.
- Advising location HR colleagues on implementation of these programmes including working with the communications team to draft effective employee communications.
- Advising location HR colleagues on the ongoing management of these programmes including annual insurance renewals.
- Developing the programmes to ensure they remain relevant, in line with our global benefits philosophy, local legislation and tax requirements, market practice and business / employee needs.
- Working with other HR functional areas such as HR Global Operations, tax, compensation, expatriate services, employee communications and employee experience.
- Monitoring key risks across the regional plans (e.g. operational risks, legal changes).
- Providing support to the broader pensions and benefits team as required.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Relevant pensions and benefits experience - extensive experience with implementing or changing the design of overseas pension plan/s, or have strong UK pension experience either as part of an in-house team or consultancy.
- Strong team player with excellent organizational and project management skills, used to managing varied priorities in a high paced environment, with ability to take ownership of projects, and be proactive.
- Analytical - a problem solver with ability to make decisions with high attention to detail and based on a thorough understanding of the relevant facts.
- Relationship builder with strong influencing skills -- an effective communicator who is able to influence decision-making and is comfortable working at all levels internally and externally.
- Flexible outlook and approach to work across different locations and cultures.
- Desire to learn new skills and take on new challenges.
