Job Summary

As an Executive Director or Vice President, Digital Assets Product Manager in Digital Markets, you will help develop and operate proprietary blockchain applications across private permissioned and public blockchains for our global client franchise.

You will define product strategy and requirements for connectivity, interoperability and tokenised products, partnering closely with trading, sales and technology teams.

You will engage clients regularly to gather feedback, develop solutions and drive adoption.

You will ensure delivery is supported by appropriate operating models and controls, working with legal, compliance and risk stakeholders.

  • Drive the connectivity strategy across public blockchains and private/permissioned ledgers
  • Define functional requirements for interoperability, bridging, node infrastructure, wallet and key management, and on-/off-chain data integration
  • Evaluate networks, protocols and vendors, assessing trade-offs across security, scalability, cost, finality and regulatory posture
  • Own the product roadmap for tokenising real-world assets across cash and securities instruments
  • Define token standards and lifecycle processes, including issuance, transfer, redemption and corporate actions
  • Design settlement and workflow models for on-chain trading, settlement and collateral mobility
  • Translate business objectives into clear functional and technical specifications for delivery teams
  • Manage end-to-end product delivery across discovery, prioritisation, delivery, testing and go-to-market
  • Partner with legal, compliance and risk teams to embed custody, control and regulatory requirements
  • Lead regular client engagement to identify needs and convert them into product and technology requirements
  • Align stakeholders across trading, sales, technology and operations on operating model, controls and execution
  • Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Demonstrated experience in technical product management or engineering within financial services, financial infrastructure or fintech
  • Ability to write clear functional and technical specifications and translate business needs into delivery-ready requirements
  • Strong understanding of APIs, data models and integration architecture
  • Working knowledge of distributed ledger technology, tokenisation concepts and public versus permissioned networks
  • Experience partnering with client-facing teams and engaging directly with clients on solution design and delivery
  • Understanding of markets workflows, including trading, settlement and collateral-related processes
  • Proven ability to evaluate technical options and vendor solutions and articulate trade-offs and recommendations
  • Strong communication skills, able to present complex topics clearly to a range of stakeholders
  • Execution-focused approach with accountability for delivering measurable outcomes
  • Ability to influence across a matrix organisation and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders
  • Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience delivering tokenisation or digital assets products in a front-office environment
  • Familiarity with blockchain node operations, infrastructure and security practices
  • Experience with wallet and key management designs and controls
  • Knowledge of custody models and operational control considerations for on-chain products
  • Experience building client-facing execution or workflow products
  • Exposure to cross-asset markets products (for example rates, credit, funds, deposits, commodities or private credit)
  • Experience partnering across multiple lines of business to deliver firmwide capabilities

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity.

The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
