The Global Real Estate Project Management team is responsible for the successful delivery of UK projects. We lead with passion and commitment, implementing best practices, maintaining a business mindset, market acumen, and managing risk and control effectively.

Must have excellent skills in programming, with good technical and engineering knowledge related to building construction, codes, and regulations. As a Deputy Design and Construction Project Management Head and Senior Project Manager for the UK sub-region, you will manage, in conjunction with key partners, the delivery of workspaces focused on wellness, sustainability, flexibility, culture, and hospitality. You will also develop, nurture, and manage teams. You will serve as Deputy to the Regional D&C Head for project support and regional strategic initiatives, ensuring consistency and best practices across all project activities in EMEA. Additionally, you will manage the entire lifecycle of construction projects—from due diligence, programming, design, procurement, construction, reporting, quality control, to cost management—to meet project objectives regarding budget, schedule, quality, and business requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create a strategy for execution, incorporating market nuances, best practices, resourcing, procurement, etc., to optimize timing, cost, and business outcomes.
  • Lead technical due diligence efforts with transaction, engineering teams, and stakeholders, aligning with project, business, and resilience goals.
  • Manage engagement of consultants and delivery suppliers, including GCs, furniture, and specialized trades, in collaboration with procurement partners and subject matter experts.
  • Support bid document preparation, scope definition, technical and commercial reviews, and pursue more efficient procurement solutions.
  • Understand business needs and closely manage planning and design with the Region Head and external stakeholders to ensure milestones, commercial, and business objectives are met.
  • Oversee contractors and suppliers, manage risks, and ensure site safety protocols are followed.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate on delivering workspaces emphasizing wellness, sustainability, flexibility, and hospitality, aiming for certifications like LEED and Carbon Zero.
  • Act as program integrator with CAO and Technology teams, managing technical and integration meetings.
  • Ensure PM Web is the primary source for project data, reporting, and approvals, maintaining compliance with controls and processes.
  • Prepare monthly reports, monitor ACR versus budget, manage design/construction changes, and ensure timely financial closure of projects.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:

  • Undergraduate or professional degree in construction, project management, engineering, or related fields.
  • Extensive experience managing all phases of corporate construction/fit-out projects and leading multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Experience as an internal project manager within a corporate real estate organization, with exposure to EMEA markets.
  • Direct experience in commercial architecture, interior renovation, workplace planning, programming, project management, and knowledge of building codes and safety standards.
  • Proven fiscal accountability throughout the project lifecycle, including post-occupancy.
  • Excellent client service skills and ability to ensure project profitability.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong programming and space planning skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-standard project management tools.
  • Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written.
