OverviewThis leadership role shapes and enhances our data privacy program within the Commercial & Investment Banking (CIB) team. You will help navigate privacy regulations and sustain a culture of data protection while delivering business impact.ResponsibilitiesExecute the 1st Line of Defense privacy operating model that adheres to firmwide requirements and applicable law.Lead and support programs to enhance the CIB\’s privacy program.Advise on privacy requirements for new initiatives.Ensure effective execution of privacy and data protection requirements, including privacy risk assessments and management of procedures.Actively partner with the business and privacy teams to deliver required results.Engage in appropriate committees and forums to provide transparency and collaborate with stakeholders on delivery of privacy initiatives.Assist the business with the design and execution of controls to address privacy business requirements and mitigate risks.Support the business in preparing for privacy-related exams, compliance tests and audits.Provide transparency through governance, reporting and metrics that support the privacy framework.Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals to promote a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and support their professional goals.Required qualifications, capabilities and skillsExperience building and managing privacy programs in regulated financial institutionsExpertise in global privacy laws including GDPRExperience in privacy program implementation and advising on privacy requirementsDemonstrated ability to deal with varied stakeholder groupsExperience in influencing and implementing change in complex environmentsAbility to articulate and demonstrate thoughtful rationale in process and product design decisions with geographically dispersed teamsStrategic thinker with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues with a sense of urgencyAbility to communicate effectively with senior business leaders as well as technical stakeholdersExceptional presentation and influencing skillsExcellent working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPointStrong leadership and team management skills with a track record of building and leading high-performing teamsPreferred qualifications, capabilities and skillsExperience within the banking or financial services industryPrivacy certifications such as CIPPAbout UsJ.P.
