As a Counter Fraud Senior Associate in Counter Fraud (International Consumer Bank), you’ll help detect, analyze, and assess behavioral and technical indicators of potential internal fraud.

You’ll support the triage of monitoring alerts, produce contextual analysis and risk assessments, and help deliver scalable detection and mitigation solutions.

You’ll work with partners across the firm to strengthen the control environment while adhering to privacy, legal, and data handling requirements.

  • Triage and analyze alerts generated by internal monitoring use cases and document findings clearly in case management systems.
  • Compile contextual case narratives and evidence-based assessments using multiple internal data sources.
  • Produce data-driven risk assessments while adhering to legal, privacy, and data handling requirements.
  • Escalate potential suspicious activity and coordinate referrals for investigation with appropriate partners.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to drive timely containment and mitigation actions.
  • Monitor relevant internal and external intelligence for notable insider events and emerging patterns.
  • Contribute to trend analysis, lessons learned, and continuous improvement of detections and controls.
  • Translate observed patterns into detection hypotheses, playbooks, and control recommendations.
  • Improve detection coverage and reduce false positives by supporting strategic enhancement initiatives.
  • Communicate complex findings succinctly through written products and stakeholder briefings.
  • Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 5 years of experience in analytical, investigative, fraud, risk, compliance, or threat-focused work.
  • 5 years of experience triaging alerts/cases and documenting outcomes in a case management workflow or system.
  • 5years of experience producing risk assessments using multiple data sources (for example, activity logs and transactional patterns).
  • 5 years of experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to drive timely actions and escalations.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive matters and information.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Working knowledge of privacy, legal, and data handling expectations in a regulated environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work.
  • Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience performing analytical and/or investigative work in fraud, insider risk, or threat-focused domains.
  • Experience assessing complex threats and developing mitigation strategies with cross-disciplinary global teams.
  • Experience conducting multi-source research on threat actors, tactics, techniques, and emerging trends to inform risk scenarios.
  • Experience evaluating control environments, identifying control gaps, and recommending practical improvements.
  • Experience delivering clear written products and briefings for senior or executive stakeholders.
  • Experience contributing to workstreams involving stakeholder engagement, issue management, and delivery execution.
  • Experience with insider risk technical solutions and data analytics tools (including SQL and data visualization).
