As a Cleared Margin Client Service and Treasury Operations Representative within Global Equity Operations, you will manage a range of tasks including:
- Settling margin values (Cash, Securities, Letters of Credit) with clients
- Cash funding
- Global non-cash collateral settlements
- FX trade processing
- Reconciliation and break resolution
- Settling margin obligations at Central Counterparties
- Owning the full life cycle of the underlying securities trades of expired options and futures
Job responsibilities include:
- Managing and optimizing client collateral and monitoring its movement
- Answering incoming margin settlement requests sent by clients, comparing them to JP Morgan's exposure and agreeing on the amount and type of asset to be moved
- Continuing development of the Clearing Client Service offering
- Ensuring timely settlement of trades with exchanges and clients
- Timely follow up on any failed settlements
- Accurately funding exchange cash accounts and processing client FX transactions
- Preventing client payments from resulting in deficits and following up on counterparty issues
- Maintaining a controlled environment by adhering to and updating operational procedures
- Reporting significant issues to management and responding quickly to internal inquiries
- Supporting reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, and assisting with reporting and root cause analysis
- Handling ad hoc management requests, operational investigations, and audit requirements
- Regularly reviewing processes, suggesting improvements, and implementing enhancements
- Participating in strategic STP initiatives and managing complex change requests
- Ensuring full compliance with all control and educational requirements
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Previous Operations experience of Futures and Options (Cleared & OTC) or similar background
- Working knowledge of client service, cash funding, global settlements & reconciliations
- Strong problem-solving & strategic thinking abilities
- High accuracy & attention to detail, maintaining precision and being highly numerate, with strong proficiency in Excel and core systems
- Strong communication skills for detailed interactions across multiple lines of business and core processing areas
- Ability to work methodically, adhering to strict deadlines and performing well under pressure
- Proactive identification of risks and confidence to challenge stakeholders when controls may be compromised
- Efficient collaboration, supporting team goals, and fostering a positive team environment
- Eagerness to learn, asking the right questions, and adapting to new challenges
- Taking responsibility for mistakes, sharing lessons learned, and embracing feedback for growth
- Strong analytical abilities and enthusiasm for digital automation tools
