As an Associate within the Global Payments Advisory team, you will act as an SME in the Treasury and Finance domain covering clients in EMEA. You will have a strong understanding and working experience with treasury and financial departments and/or have participated in treasury and finance transformation consulting projects. You will share industry best practices with clients, conduct Treasury and Finance process deep dives, utilising white boarding sessions and consulting frameworks. You will also be creating thought leadership content for pitching Payments solutions and work in partnership with internal teams to increase client engagement. You will work closely with the Sales team to meet new sales, pipeline and portfolio growth targets.
The Team supports our clients' cash, liquidity and trade and working capital management needs and works with our clients' Treasury and Finance organizations to improve their cash management infrastructure, adopt industry best banking solutions and technologies. The Team also brings the required content and thought leadership to grow, differentiate, stay ahead and thereby position J.P. Morgan Payments as the global leader in Payments.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead independently and/or support Global Industry Advisory Lead and share treasury management best practices, industry trends, provide compelling financial and market analysis to deliver payments solutions that are aligned with the key priorities and needs of clients.
- Understand JPM product offerings (cash management, liquidity, FX, merchant acquiring, trade and working capital solutions) in different regions and leverage them to structure the solution for clients.
- Provide clients with insights and propose solutions to help improve Treasury metrics and enhance risk management.
- Network externally; participate and present in JPM proprietary events, industry roundtables and client events.
- Drive and/or support industry and treasury best practices and thought leadership content, develop success stories, solicit feedback from clients and internal partners, promote replication.
- Stay ahead of trends in the identified sector; what the ecosystem is thinking about, where it is evolving and how Payments fit into it.
- Provide coaching to broader coverage and sales teams on treasury best practices and JPM Value proposition in addressing clients' cash management needs.
- Ensure strong risk management, compliance and adherence to Audit, Credit, Tax, cross border policies.
Qualifications
- Hands on experience in setting up and transforming a Treasury organization including leveraging digital initiatives.
- Good understanding of accounting, tax and regulatory considerations relevant in various treasury areas and ability to grasp emerging trends and articulate the implication to treasury.
- Good understanding of TMS and/or ERP systems and integration points with Banking Infrastructure.
- Knowledge of cash management, liquidity management, trade and working capital management, cross-border payments, merchant acquiring, pay-ins and pay-outs, FX and Channels, Banking technology as well as concepts such as AI/ ML, Blockchain and Big Data.
- Design thinking, process re-engineering and problem solving skills.
- Client centric approach, strong business acumen, project management and organization skills.
- Demonstrate best in class verbal and written communication skills, including influencing, networking and collaboration; Ability to work across teams and geographies.
- Strong interpersonal skills to inspire/motivate the project team, instilling confidence and trust.
