As a GSOC Team Lead in our Global Security Operations Centre, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring quality control and adherence to company standards. You will be the point of contact for operational queries and support the GSOC Manager in maintaining 24/7 operational coverage. You will also contribute to onboarding and coaching, maintain operational documentation, and identify opportunities to enhance products, processes, and tooling. This includes the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Microsoft SharePoint sites, lists, and workflows used to support GSOC operations, reporting, and incident management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations within the GSOC to ensure quality control and adherence to procedures.
  • Serve as an escalation point for operational and procedural queries, ensuring timely, accurate triage and communications.
  • Support the maintenance of effective coverage, including structured handovers, continuity of operations, and workload prioritisation.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of procedures and job aids; draft and update documentation in alignment with governance requirements.
  • Support onboarding, training, and coaching activities to build team capability and resilience.
  • Monitor team performance and operational trends; identify control gaps and implement continuous improvement actions.
  • Contribute to enhancements across workflows and tools, including practical automation/optimisation opportunities where appropriate.
  • Strong judgment with a continuous improvement mindset; ability to identify issues, assess risk, and implement sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in corporate security operations, a security operations centre, incident management, crisis management, or a related operational function.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to create clear incident logs, reports, and executive‑ready briefs.
  • Strong verbal communication and stakeholder management skills, with a professional, service‑oriented approach.
  • Ability to brief senior stakeholders clearly and confidently.
  • Demonstrated experience leading day‑to‑day operations, supporting performance, and driving accountability.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Prior experience in a team lead/supervisory role within a corporate security operations environment.
  • Familiarity with GSOC tooling (e.g., monitoring platforms, access control/alarm monitoring interfaces, case/incident management systems).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to identify patterns, root causes, and risk‑based mitigations.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross‑functional partners in a regulated environment.
  • Experience drafting, maintaining, or implementing security operations procedures and related governance documentation.
  • Knowledge of relevant security standards and industry practices, with a proactive approach to risk management and issue resolution.
