Overview
Origination and portfolio management of the most exciting early‑stage (Series A & B) UK companies. Provide sales leadership to help other bankers drive origination excellence across our EMEA Innovation Economy franchise (specifically across Series A & B). Own key internal workstreams that enable our business to scale rapidly. Collaboration across the firm is core to success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Build and represent the J.P. Morgan Innovation Economy franchise in your market.
- Originate and develop new client relationships while deepening existing ones.
- Maintain an active focus on identifying high‑quality, diverse founders.
- Act as a trusted partner across J.P. Morgan teams to deliver coordinated client outcomes.
- Demonstrate passion for innovation, staying close to industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Drive sustainable growth across the full client lifecycle and maximise firm value.
Qualifications
- 9+ years of relevant experience in banking, finance, or a client‑facing role.
- Proven sales leadership with strong performance track record as both individual contributor and coach.
- Passionate about high‑growth sectors (AI, software, applied technology, defense tech, internet, life science).
- Solid grounding in Commercial Banking products (cash management, FX) and exposure to Investment Banking solutions such as equity capital raising and M&A.
- Experience structuring and managing credit solutions for venture‑backed and high‑growth technology companies.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills; credibility with senior clients and effective partnership with internal stakeholders.
- Highly self‑directed, proactive, and intellectually curious.
- Ability to calmly juggle and execute a high volume of competing priorities within strict deadlines.
