The Asset Management Derivatives team (AMD) is a global centre of excellence delivering derivatives platform and portfolio management solutions. The team operates in partnership with the whole of Asset Management, managing derivatives mandates for our clients both internal and external. This includes over USD 58bn of derivatives overlay portfolios managed by the AMD team.

Join J.P. Morgan Asset Management on a strategic multi-year program to enhance the firm’s front-to-back derivatives product capabilities across Rates, Credit, Equities, FX and Commodities. As an Asset Management - Derivatives Platform Product Manager within our London team, you will be responsible for leading the vision and development of our derivatives platform collateral management capabilities and solutions. You will have the opportunity to shape the strategic target operating model, gaining unique insights across all lines of businesses and asset classes. This role also provides exposure to senior stakeholders across all product lines. The team is based across London, New York and Hong Kong.

Job responsibilities
  • Design and develop front-to-back collateral management products and capabilities on the derivatives platform, accelerating time-to-market to meet investors’ and clients’ desired investment outcomes and manage business demand across all lines of businesses.
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with portfolio management, trading, technology, operations, risk and quant teams to ensure business requirements are fully specified, driving appropriate prioritisation with agreed deliverables and timeframes.
  • Drive the development, implementation and user-testing of collateral management solutions on the derivatives platform with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop detailed understanding of current and future state derivatives platform collateral management workflow, capabilities, operating model and architecture.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Proven experience designing and delivering collateral management solutions for derivatives, with strong understanding of margining, market infrastructure and treasury management.
  • Experience and knowledge of multi-asset derivatives markets.
  • Proven ability to independently manage and oversee implementation with business and technology teams and other support functions.
  • Experience of delivering large-scale platform transformation initiatives, with strong project management expertise, collaborating with global functional teams.
  • Leading and managing senior stakeholder buy-in, with strong influencing and credible communication skills.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Relevant derivatives experience, working at an Asset Manager or Tier 1 Investment Bank.
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
