As a Senior User Experience Researcher within the business accelerator team, you will work alongside design, product, content, and engineering teams committed to creating customer-led products and services. You will play a critical role in creating useful and customer-focused products, working with stakeholders across functions and levels to have impact at all stages of design and product development. Our business accelerator teams work at the heart of new product development to design, build, and manage new consumer and business-facing products and solutions. We are part of one of the new ventures within the business accelerator, focused on developing products that put the customer at the centre. We have created a new B2B organisation with diverse professionals that come from a wide set of skills, backgrounds and experiences. We are looking for a Senior User Experience Researcher to join us. In this role, you will be working alongside design, product, content and engineer committed to creating customer-led products and services. You will play a critical role in creating useful and customer focused products. You will work with stakeholders across functions and levels and have impact at all stages of design and product development. You will explore user behaviours and motivations by conducting primary research such as field studies, interviews, diary studies, participatory workshops, usability testing, and working closely with teams analysing behavioural data.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct user research in a given product area working closely with Design, Content, Product and Engineering
  • Work with team members and stakeholders to prioritise research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Lead and advise on research plans, overall user research strategy and methods
  • Manage and conduct generative and evaluation research
  • Conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences
  • Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research
  • Advocate and provide guidance on how to use customer insights and data to inform decisions
  • Present and communicate user research and recommendations to the larger organisation
  • Support and develop best practices, research methodologies and frameworks to drive efficiency across the organisation
  • Be an advocate for the customers and foster a shared understanding of a customer first approach in the organisation.
  • Strong hands-on experience as a Senior UX Researcher in a product or service environment.
  • Experienced in a wide range of exploratory and evaluative research methods in product and/or service development
  • Experience scaling research processes and defining best practice
  • Passion for championing the customer
  • In-depth understanding of UX and UI design
  • Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate research insights to different stakeholders
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented, cross-functional environment
  • Develop and sustain effective and cooperative working relationships with peers, managers and other internal or external stakeholders
  • Bachelor\’s degree in HCI, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology or related field or equivalent professional experience

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in the Atlassian suite of software (Confluence) is desirable
  • Experience with B2B applications preferred
