Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payments Business Analyst with a strong background in the payments domain, leadership capabilities, and experience in agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will have over 9 years of experience in payment systems and processes, and will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives, driving process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative payment solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the analysis and documentation of business requirements related to payment systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process optimization and innovation.
  • Develop and maintain detailed functional specifications, process maps, and user stories.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior analysts and team members.
  • Work closely with IT and development teams to ensure successful implementation of payment solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the payments domain, providing guidance and support to other team members.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and validate system changes to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the payments team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor\’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in the payments domain, with a focus on business analysis.
  • Strong understanding of payment systems, technologies, and industry regulations.
  • Proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring teams.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with payment processing platforms and technologies.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) and Agile (e.g., Certified Scrum Master) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in digital payments and emerging payment technologies.
  • Knowledge of global payment standards and practices.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
