An established and respected main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join its growing Pre-Construction team. The successful candidate will lead tenders across a varied portfolio of refurbishment, maintenance and new build projects ranging from £50,000 to £10 million, playing a key role in securing future work and supporting continued business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead competitive tenders from initial enquiry through to submission.
  • Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
  • Prepare accurate cost plans and pricing strategies.
  • Obtain and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
  • Identify project risks and value engineering opportunities.
  • Prepare comprehensive tender submissions.
  • Attend client meetings and pre-construction discussions.
  • Work closely with Operational and Commercial teams during handover.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator with a UK main contractor.
  • Strong knowledge of refurbishment, maintenance and new build projects.
  • Excellent commercial awareness.
  • Able to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience producing successful competitive tenders.
