An established and growing main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Construction Quality Manager to drive quality standards across a diverse portfolio of refurbishment, new build and maintenance projects. Projects range from £50,000 to £10 million. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager, Senior Site Manager, Quality Manager or Clerk of Works looking to move into a dedicated quality-focused role where you'll influence projects from pre-construction through to completion.
The Role
- Champion quality across all live construction projects.
- Support project teams in developing and implementing Project Quality Plans (PQPs).
- Review and monitor Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) to ensure compliance with specifications and statutory requirements.
- Carry out regular quality inspections across multiple sites.
- Identify quality issues, monitor corrective actions and ensure effective close out.
- Produce inspection reports and provide practical recommendations to project teams.
- Monitor quality trends and help implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
- Deliver quality briefings and training to operational teams.
- Produce regular quality performance reports for senior management.
About You
- Previous experience as a Site Manager, Senior Site Manager, Construction Quality Manager or Clerk of Works.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, quality standards and building regulations.
- Experience working on refurbishment, maintenance and new build projects.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Proactive approach with a passion for delivering high-quality construction projects.
- SMSTS, CSCS and a strong understanding of construction quality processes.
