Assistant Estimator
Location: West London (Office Based)
Salary: Competitive + Package
An established and growing main contractor is looking to appoint an ambitious Assistant Estimator to join its Pre-Construction team based in West London.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their estimating career within a business that delivers a diverse range of refurbishment, maintenance and new build projects valued between £50,000 and £10 million.
Working alongside experienced Estimators, you'll gain exposure to the full tender process while receiving ongoing support and development.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing accurate and competitive tender submissions.
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Measure quantities and prepare take-offs.
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Assist in producing pricing schedules and tender documents.
- Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings where required.
- Support the estimating team to meet tender deadlines.
- Maintain supplier and subcontractor databases.
Requirements
- Previous estimating or construction experience.
- Experience working for a contractor is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
