To meet our increasing workload and expanding client base we are currently seeking an Associate/Principal level Structural Engineer for our Leeds office.

Candidates shall be chartered or incorporated with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the delivery of building structures projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity where candidates will be looking to bring value to our business in return for further career progression to senior management or Director level within a progressive consultancy.

Requirements

  • Chartered/Incorporated status or approaching chartered or Incorporated with either the Institution of Structural Engineers or Institution of Civil Engineers.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
  • Successful track record of delivering building structures construction projects up to £75M.
  • Excellent Structural design skills including Software experience in TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer, Fastrack Portal Frame, CADS Wall Panel, P Frame and Masterseries Retaining Wall.
  • Ability to manage the delivery of projects through to completion, and work within a multi-disciplinary consultancy.
  • Objectives and Key Responsibilities
  • Excellent design skills across a wide range of structural materials.
  • Able to undertake 3D modelling and structural analysis of various structural forms and buildings.
  • Advanced design knowledge of superstructures and substructures.
  • Advanced knowledge in the preparation of reports, specifications, designs and drawings, feasibility studies and appraisals.
  • Ability to be the single point of contact on projects for the business and manage schemes to co-ordinate with the Infrastructure and Geo-environmental teams.
  • Able to undertake site visits and Inspections.
  • Able to co-ordinate the work of graduates, engineers and technicians.
  • Knowledge of current construction methods, ground investigation and ground improvement methods.
  • Ability to convey design concepts to others via excellent sketching skills.
  • Ability to mentor and lead others.
  • Ability to apply problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to participate in networking events and attend business development functions.
  • Must hold a valid driving licence.
  • Able to promote the business to external colleagues and clients.
  • Able to visit sites and deliver projects nationally across the UK.
