We are a young and growing firm of Surveyors, established in 2013 and based in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire.
As part of our continued growth and succession planning, we are seeking an experienced Surveyor to join the practice as a Director and shareholder.
This is an opportunity for an ambitious, entrepreneurial Surveyor who is looking to move beyond traditional employment and become part of the ownership and future development of an established local practice.
About the Practice
We are a small, independent practice with a varied workload and a strong presence within the local community.
The majority of the work for this individual will involve residential pre-acquisition surveys, including:
Level 1 Condition Reports. Level 2 Homebuyer Reports. Level 3 Building Surveys. Alongside this, we undertake a variety of other instructions, with the most signficiant being valuation work (lending and non-lending).
The majority of our instructions are across the Fylde Coast, although we do undertake work further afield.
As a small practice, our workload is varied and genuinely no two days are the same. We value the relationships we have developed within the local community and pride ourselves on providing a personal, professional service.
Who We Are Looking For
This opportunity would suit a Surveyor who is looking to take the next step in their career and play an active role in the ownership and development of a business.
We are looking for someone who has:
- FRICS, MRICS or AssocRICS qualification.
- At least three years' experience undertaking residential pre-acquisition surveys, including Levels 1, 2 and 3.
- Ideally, RICS Registered Valuer status.
- A commercial, business-focused and entrepreneurial outlook.
- Strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- An interest in contributing to the continued growth and development of the practice.
The Opportunity
Importantly, this is not a conventional employment position.
The practice is a limited company owned equally by its existing Directors. The successful candidate would join the business as a Director and acquire a proportion of the company, subject to mutually agreed terms.
This provides an opportunity to become a genuine owner of the business, with the ability to contribute directly to its future direction, growth and success.
We believe this could be particularly attractive to a Surveyor who has reached a stage in their career where they want greater autonomy / financial gain, commercial involvement and ownership, rather than simply progressing through an employed structure.
