Role Overview: Responsible for working directly with an extensive dealer network in support of all products, you will keep dealers informed of technical developments as well as handling all dealer technical enquiries, delivering dealer training programs and conducting machine demonstrations and installations. The role is suited to applicants with excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for regular travel and thorough technical knowledge of contemporary agricultural machinery (including complex electrohydraulic systems) with a strong passion for their sector.

Experience and Qualities Required:

  • You’ll have a proven background in agricultural engineering, either from a dealer service department or a manufacturer technical support role, ideally with a recognised technical qualification, and experienced in electronics, hydraulics, general mechanics and advanced technologies.
  • You’ll ideally bring experience either as a dealer service manager or a regional technical support manager, and display a well-developed portfolio of customer service, customer expectation management and decision-making skills.
  • You’ll have spent time in the tractor seat, be familiar with the operation of a wide cross-section of equipment and how to set up machinery for optimised performance.
  • You’ll have a good standard of IT literacy, and ideally have experience with online manufacturer service and warranty systems.
  • We’ll need to know that you have good organisational abilities, possess a resourceful problem-solving attitude and the ability to manage and resolve customer dispute situations.
  • The ease with which you can form healthy working relationships with colleagues, end users and dealer staff is critical to the success of the role – you’re in your element discussing complex technical and customer service issues.
  • Possessing a clean driving licence (D+E preferably, with experience of towing a trailer), you should reside centrally in the UK with good access to major routes, and have an appetite for regular travel, at times overseas.
