About the Role
The Engineering IT/PLM Manager is responsible for the ownership, management, optimisation and continuous improvement of Engineering IT systems, with a primary focus on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). The role will provide business ownership and technical leadership for PLM capability, ensuring that the system supports Engineering delivery, configuration control, data management, CAD integration, reporting, process improvement and future business needs. The role will act as the key interface between Engineering, IT, PLM users, vendors and wider business stakeholders, ensuring that Engineering IT systems are fit for purpose, effectively supported, and aligned to operational and strategic requirements.
Responsibilities
- Ownership and management of Engineering IT systems
- Optimisation and continuous improvement of PLM
- Business ownership and technical leadership for PLM capability
- Support Engineering delivery and configuration control
- Data management and CAD integration
- Reporting and process improvement
- Act as key interface between Engineering, IT, PLM users, vendors, and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Relevant educational background in IT/Engineering
Required Skills
- Experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
- Strong understanding of Engineering IT systems
- Ability to manage and optimise IT systems
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the Defence/Aerospace sector
- Familiarity with CAD integration
