As a Control Manager - VP, you will strengthen the risk and control environment for Workplace Solutions and International Private Bank Solutions. You will partner with senior leaders to shape risk frameworks, map processes, and design controls across lines of business. You’ll monitor compliance, drive remediation actions with clear milestones, and elevate risk reporting through automation. This role combines governance with mentorship, enabling strategic risk management in a leading global bank.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and monitor risk and control framework across lines of business
- Advise senior leaders on key risk and control initiatives
- Conduct walkthroughs, process mapping, risk identification, and design of controls and testing
- Ensure compliance with risk standards, policies, and regulations; maintain ongoing control environment assessment
- Lead end-to-end issue/action plan workflow including root-cause analysis and remediation oversight
- Identify metrics to monitor control health and manage risk and control initiatives
- Develop enhanced controls reporting using automation and present findings to stakeholders
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on risk, control, and remediation portfolios
- Maintain strong stakeholder engagement across local, regional, and global teams
- Develop junior team members through mentoring and formal/informal development
- Collaborate with Workplace Solutions Business and other stakeholders to address control gaps
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field
- Extensive experience in financial services, process improvement, and/or risk management
- Proactive control and risk mindset; ability to articulate gaps to senior management
- Ability to influence multiple groups to deliver high-quality deliverables
- Consultative approach to anticipate business partner needs and deliver solutions
- Strong critical thinking and commitment to continuous improvement
