As a Trade Implementation Manager Senior Associate in Payments for Trade Finance, you will consult with clients to understand their technical and business needs and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver Trade Finance products and solutions on time and efficiently. You'll manage complex, multi-phase implementations while building strong relationships with clients, Sales, Product, Operations, and Client Service teams. This is a client-facing role where you'll act as a trusted advisor, ensuring business requirements are understood and satisfied from start to finish.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage core Trade Finance product implementations for clients, primarily in the EMEA region.
  • Conduct scoping and introductory meetings with clients to ensure product requirements align with their business needs and the firm's capabilities.
  • Coordinate with internal and global partners including Sales, Product, Credit, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Technology to keep implementation activities on schedule.
  • Develop deal execution approaches and manage all aspects of client onboarding, documentation, and technical implementation.
  • Prepare and publish implementation status reports and presentations at regular intervals.
  • Conduct warm handoffs to Client Service upon project completion, including comprehensive product handover information.
  • Serve as an effective point of escalation on behalf of clients, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide innovative solutions to meet client needs throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Liaise with regional and global implementation teams to ensure a coordinated approach to programmes.
  • Identify and communicate process gaps and improvement opportunities, owning initiatives where appropriate.
  • Contribute to system and process enhancement and change management projects in collaboration with regional and global team members.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience in client implementation, middle or back-office functions related to Trade Finance, or equivalent experience in project management and system implementation.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to delivery.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently, managing multiple tasks and responsibilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work across multiple business lines and establish productive working relationships at various levels.
  • Capacity to think flexibly and strategically while balancing competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong client relationship management skills with a consultative approach.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Knowledge of traditional trade and structured finance products.
  • Project management certification or formal training, including use of project plans and issue logs.
  • Experience with digital channels and electronic banking platforms.
  • Operations and customer service experience.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage conflict and facilitate meetings.
  • Experience in Transaction Banking or Trade Finance products.
