Senior Lead Software Engineer - FICC Electronic Trading Application Developer

b Overview /b p In this role you will design and build a flagship, next-generation electronic trading application used across markets globally. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable software spanning pricing, execution, and risk management. You contribute to improving reliability, performance, and development processes while shaping the architecture of greenfield trading platforms. This position offers impact at scale within a premier global bank’s electronic trading technology team. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Understand requirements and propose complete technical solutions /li li Design, develop, and test software following SDLC practices /li li Partner with PMs, business analysts, and management as a technical SME /li li Define and implement non-functional requirements (performance, reliability) /li li Identify and drive improvements to systems and development processes /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Proficiency in Core Java or C++ development /li li Working knowledge of Spring and SQL /li li Experience developing on Unix or Linux /li li Knowledge of unit testing practices and test automation fundamentals /li li Understanding of multi-threading, threading models, and messaging concepts /li li Understanding of low-latency, event-driven system concepts /li li Strong analytical and problem-solving skills /li li Ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams and stakeholders /li /ul ul li Collaborative mindset /li li Strong analytical thinking /li li Cross-functional communication /li li Core Java or C++ /li li Spring /li li SQL /li /ul
