As a Senior Software Engineer in the Strategic Index Technology team, you will lead key projects that support our cross-markets index platform. You will work alongside global colleagues in Quantitative Research, Structuring, Trading, Sales, and Middle Office to deliver high-quality software solutions. You will help shape the design and evolution of our technology stack, ensuring our platform remains innovative and efficient. Your work will directly impact the way we run and grow our index business.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver specific projects within the global program of work
- Collaborate with and influence other technology teams to deliver user-focused solutions
- Design, develop, and maintain applications and software components for the Strategic Index desk
- Partner with business users to understand requirements and prioritize deliverables
- Apply Agile development methodologies to drive projects from inception to production
- Drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes
- Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation at scale
- Focus on testing and quality throughout the development cycle
- Contribute to continuous improvement of platform design and capabilities
- Take ownership of work and drive projects to completion
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Strong technical background in object-oriented or functional programming (Python, Java, C++, or C#)

- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact confidently with business users and stakeholders
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
