As a Senior Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within Asset & Wealth Management (AWM), you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications and platforms products. You drive significant business impact and help shape the target state architecture through your capabilities in multiple architecture domains.

Job responsibilities

  • Understand and represent the requirements of the Asset Management business and their alignment into a business architecture metamodel.
  • Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus across Asset Management architecture.
  • Represent architecture strategy on cross-domain change initiatives to CTO level.
  • Provide feedback and propose improvements to architecture governance practices.
  • Provide thought leadership and development for the System of Record for AM Architecture and operate in the capacity of a Product Owner.
  • Foster collaboration across the federated architecture teams to reinforce the effectiveness of a common operating framework.
  • Regularly provide guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams across all facets of architecture.
  • Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, technical operations and processes.
  • Actively engage the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Influence peers and project decision-makers to understand leading-edge technologies.
  • Add to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 10+ years of experience in architecture roles and facing off to senior stakeholders.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering solution design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Experience in one or more architecture methodologies, solution design, C4 notation, ARx notation.
  • Experience working with established Architecture frameworks and modelling tools such as TOGAF, Zachman, ArchiMate.
  • Advanced knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes with in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
  • Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture.
  • Be highly organized, a great communicator and be a strong advocate for instilling the best possible architecture skills into the Architecture practice.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 10+ years in Financial service, preferably Asset Management.
  • Product Owner experience leading the direction and strategy of Architecture Tooling.
  • Development of communities of practice and driving collaboration/partnership.
  • All aspects of AI; use in architecture, architecting the use/reuse of and using to build architecture tooling, standards, patterns.
