Overview
In this role you drive regulatory policy support for the International Consumer Business, shaping positions across UK and EU regulatory developments. You translate technical rules into actionable policy for senior stakeholders, working with cross-functional teams in an agile, diverse environment. You will help build and scale the Regulatory Policy Function while aligning advocacy with digital and technology initiatives. This is a mission-driven opportunity to influence policy in a fast-moving financial services landscape.
Responsibilities
- Monitor UK and EU regulatory developments across digital banking, investment services, data protection, marketing, and AI.
- Advise business units on regulatory policy changes and implications.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to shape advocacy approaches.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external parties across multiple jurisdictions (EMEA and US).
Key requirements
- Broad knowledge of policies governing banking and investment services.
- Ability to develop policy positions for proactive engagement with policymakers.
- Experience across a broad set of products and services.
- Knowledge of UK and/or European supervisory regimes.
- Capacity to quickly understand and advise on new regulatory developments.
