Overview

As a Senior Process Engineer, you will design and improve end-to-end operational journeys to drive superior customer outcomes in retail banking. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, compliant solutions and embed risk and controls from the start. Your work shapes end-to-end process design, enhancing quality, consistency, and effectiveness while mentoring junior engineers and expanding digital banking capabilities. This role sits at the intersection of product, operations, and technology, in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize end-to-end operational journeys across retail banking products using BPMN 2.0 (Signavio or equivalent)
  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, Technology, Risk, Controls, Compliance, and Legal to align on requirements and timelines
  • Lead process engineering workstreams, plan work, manage dependencies, and drive decisions in agile settings
  • Embed risk and controls into process designs by identifying operational and regulatory risks early and ensuring appropriate controls
  • Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, root cause investigation, and feedback loops to simplify, standardize, and automate processes
  • Mentor junior engineers through coaching, design reviews, and best-practice sharing
  • Champion customer-centric process designs
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive team culture
  • Contribute to initiative leadership as needed
  • Communicate clearly to build alignment with senior partners across business and technology
  • Support a culture of ownership, critical thinking, and continuous improvement

Key requirements

  • Strong process design expertise with BPMN 2.0 experience (Signavio or similar)
  • Ability to align and communicate with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Capable of organizing work, prioritizing, managing dependencies, and delivering autonomously
  • Understanding of operational risk and compliant, well-controlled processes
