Our team works in tribes and squads, allowing you to move between projects based on your strengths and interests, making a significant impact on our clients and business partners worldwide.Collaborate with development teams to enhance the developer experience, providing tools and infrastructure that support agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment.Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches.Create secure and high-quality production code to deploy infrastructure.Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets for continuous improvement of software applications and systems.Drives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted code review/refactoring, test strategy acceleration, incident/root-cause analysis support), while establishing consistent validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promoting reuse of effective patterns across the team.Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data, using insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.Add to the teams’ culture, diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages (Python or other) and database querying languages.Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.Understanding Agile methodologies, Application Resiliency, and Security.Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., Experience with Public Cloud services in Production (we use AWS).Demonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption within delivery practicesPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:Familiarity with modern front-end or back-end technologies.Understanding of Infrastructure Tools, preferably Terraform, and AWS services understanding.Proficient in coding in one or more languages.Employer DescriptionJPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.Morgan and Chase brands.
