This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated to work in a dynamic team and to contribute to our Investment Banking business. The UK Natural Resources team covers corporates across the Energy, Power & Utilities, Renewables and Mining sectors, based and listed in the UK. The team provides a wide range of advisory services in relation to local and cross border disposals, mergers and acquisitions, including advice on corporate strategy, capital structure and liability management as well as providing advice on execution of equity, hybrid and debt issuance.
As part of the core focus, the team also provides corporate broking services to the UK-listed clients, involving extensive interaction with the equity research and equity sales teams. Corporate broking services include extensive exposure and interaction with senior clients. As an Analyst in the UK Natural Resources team, you will be a key player in the origination and execution of investment banking mandates across all major product areas. You will participate in the "full cycle" of transactional execution including preparing marketing pitches, reviewing and formulating financial analysis, preparing and presenting internal committee memoranda and client presentations.
You will work with expert professionals at the heart of a leading global investment bank and will get exposure to formal training, hands-on learning opportunities, continuous mentoring and feedback, and numerous development opportunities. You will develop strong skills in the major areas of investment banking and will be given the opportunity to develop into a senior officer who is capable of generating and executing their own transactions. Working with global sector teams and projects, you will be provided opportunities to be involved real-time in transactions.
- Participate in substantial day-to-day client contact and client servicing
- Begin to build long-term external relationships and manage client accounts
- Prepare and participate in deal pitches
- Prepare valuation and marketing materials for M&A, ECM and DCM related transactions
- Execute end-to-end client transactions

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Prior experience in Investment Banking or transactions
- Exceptional financial modelling/valuation and analytical skills
- Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive, energetic and decisive, with high level of integrity
- Excellent technology skills with superior Excel and PowerPoint skills and ability to quickly learn new software applications
- Highly motivated, adaptable, able to multi-task and manage project independently
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity
- Ability to comfortably interact with clients and colleagues in a professional and mature manner
