Overview
In this role you will support the Italian Investment Banking team's efforts to drive M&A execution and advisory across EMEA. You will work closely with analysts and associates to build models, prepare materials, and communicate with clients and senior stakeholders. You’ll engage in a broad execution remit, collaborating with product and country colleagues while contributing to a growing business vertical. This is a strategically important, cross-functional role with real client impact and travel opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Build complex financial models and perform valuation, merger, and related analyses
- Draft presentation materials, management & Board materials, memoranda for M&A transactions or strategic client dialogue
- Stay updated on market developments and latest M&A structuring/execution trends
- Collaborate with industry, country and product colleagues during origination and execution
- Organize and project-manage M&A processes; support due diligence, deal documentation and announcements
- Liaise with clients, advisers, and regulators as appropriate
Key requirements
- Prior investment banking experience
- Top-tier academic background
- Outstanding financial modelling skills
- Understanding of transaction cycle and process steps
- Impeccable communication with senior professionals, clients and stakeholders
- Interest in M&A structuring
- Self-directed, entrepreneurial, highly motivated, able to work independently
- Fluent in Italian and English
- Solid understanding of broader IB products
- Experience dealing with clients and other transactional advisers
