Overview
In this role, you will contribute to Leveraged Finance, analyzing capital structures and identifying optimal financing solutions for clients. You will work within a high-profile investment banking team, coordinating across coverage, credit, legal, and client groups to move transactions forward. The role emphasizes quantitative analysis, client-facing presentations, and due diligence to support financing decisions. You will develop foundational skills through hands-on learning, mentoring, and exposure to senior bankers, helping drive client value and deal execution.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial modeling and financial statement analysis
- Determine cash flow and asset-based debt capacity across diverse business models
- Lead the preparation of term sheets, capital markets and credit approval packages, and marketing materials
- Prepare presentation materials and participate in client meetings
- Prepare investor marketing materials and arrange investor meetings
- Conduct extensive due diligence on companies
- Conduct industry and product research as well as comparable analysis
Key requirements
- 1-2 years Investment Banking experience, ideally within Leveraged Finance
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with ability to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative client solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
- Highly motivated, adaptable, able to multi-task and manage projects independently
- Comfort in and commitment to a teamwork environment
- High level of attention to detail and time management
- Excellent presentation skills; comfortable presenting to client senior management, investors and senior firm members
