Investment Banking - EMEA Leveraged Finance - Analyst (German speaking) - London

Overview

In this Leveraged Finance Analyst role, you help identify optimal capital structures for clients within a leading global investment bank. You work closely with senior bankers across product and industry teams to coordinate deals and deliver tailored financing solutions. You will build and present financial models, due diligence materials, and investor communications that support investment decisions. This role offers hands-on learning, mentorship, and a path to develop deep expertise in large-scale corporate financing within a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial modeling and financial statement analysis
• Assess cash flow and asset-based debt capacity across various business models
• Prepare customized term sheets, capital markets and credit approval packages, and marketing materials
• Create presentation materials and participate in client meetings
• Prepare investor marketing materials and coordinate investor meetings
• Conduct extensive due diligence on target companies
• Conduct industry and product research and perform comparable analyses
• Coordinate deal activities across internal/external teams including coverage, credit, legal and client teams

Key requirements

• 1–2 years Investment Banking experience, ideally in Leveraged Finance
• German preferred; at least 1 European language essential
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with ability to synthesize large data sets
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Highly motivated, adaptable, able to multitask and work independently
• Team-oriented with high attention to detail and time management
• Strong presentation skills; comfortable presenting to senior management, investors and clients
