This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated to work in a dynamic team and to contribute to our Investment Banking business. As an Analyst in Investment Banking Coverage for Central and Eastern Europe, you would assist on execution, marketing and coverage work for public and private mergers, acquisitions and divestitures across all industry sectors, equity capital markets advisory on various types of capital raising transactions such as listings and rights issues across the CEE region together with other colleagues from the team, as well as colleagues from various industry and/or product teams across regions.
You will have strong functional skills in the major areas of investment banking and will demonstrate the ability to become a senior officer who is capable of generating and executing your own transactions. Job responsibilities
- Support on execution, marketing and coverage work across industries and products
- Conduct research and analysis of market data and companies
- Support preparation of client presentations
- Perform valuation analyses (e.g. based on multiples, DCF, LBO, etc.)
- Build detailed and complex financial models
- Execute transactions from pitch to close (e.g. public and private mergers, acquisitions and divestitures across all industry sectors, equity capital markets advisory on various types of capital raising transactions such as listings and rights issues across the CEE region, etc.)
- Lead execution functions and work with junior analysts, including supervising the work performed by junior analysts on certain of the aforementioned tasks
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Relevant Investment Banking or Corporate Finance experience, with good knowledge about the transaction cycle of relevant investment banking products
- Outstanding analytical, financial analysis and modelling skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills and time management
- Comfort in and commitment to a strong teamwork environment
- Ability to work self-directed and independently and to multitask on numerous assignments
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, profound knowledge of customary investment banking databases (FactSet, Bloomberg, etc.)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Fluency in a CEE language
