Overview
In this role you will run the operating rhythm of the IPB Solutions function within Wealth Management, supporting strategic initiatives and timely leadership decisions. You will act as a key connector across regions and lines of business, surfacing risks and driving actions to closure. You will produce clear, executive-ready materials and manage governance across the strategic initiatives portfolio. Your work directly enables senior leaders to oversee headcount, budget cycles, and portfolio progress with confidence. This is a high-visibility role that shapes how cross-functional teams collaborate to deliver strategic outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Support the Head of IPB Solutions on organisational management, including headcount and expense planning, budget cycles and updates
- Prepare executive-ready materials for leadership meetings, governance forums and senior reviews
- Produce regular management updates and reporting for leadership
- Track and close actions from leadership meetings
- Run the operating rhythm: schedule sessions, prepare materials, capture actions and owners, drive follow-up
- Maintain central documentation, trackers and templates for repeatable ways of working
- Coordinate across regions and lines of business to keep workstreams aligned
- Raise risks, issues and dependencies early and escalate appropriately
- Maintain governance across the strategic initiatives portfolio with workplans, milestones, dependencies and decision trackers
- Support prioritisation management, including intake tracking, taxonomy, sequencing, capacity and impact views
- Produce monthly portfolio reporting on status, risks, decisions and milestones
- Coordinate engagement across lines of business and regions for partnerships and large client initiatives
Key requirements
- Strong programme management fundamentals: workplans, stakeholder communication, minutes/actions discipline, status reporting
- Ability to work with senior leaders and handle confidential information with discretion
- Proven cross-functional stakeholder management and driving follow-through across regions
- Ability to balance project, organisational, operational and strategic work amid shifting priorities
- Experience in business management, project management or strategy, ideally in financial services
- Excellent written and verbal communication, turning complex information into concise updates
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
