The J.P. Morgan Private Bank sits within Global Wealth Management, a division of Asset & Wealth Management, and is focused on working with ultra-high net worth (UHNW) individuals, families, and foundations. The Private Bank offers comprehensive financial and wealth solutions that integrate sophisticated investment management, wealth advisory, capital markets, trust and banking capabilities.
Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) Marketing’s overall goal is simple: to be a trusted partner and advisor to the business that helps drive strong results. In support of that goal, we are focused on five key priorities:
- Bringing the brand to life through our client experience;
- Simplifying how we position our products and advice;
- Disrupting and modernizing our content strategy by being digital first;
- Boosting revenue with data-driven acquisition and deepening strategies.
Our collaborative organization has approximately 500 team members sitting in locations around the world. The EMEA Marketing team provides strategic marketing services to the Private Bank business across EMEA. Based in London, this role is responsible for developing and implementing an EMEA-wide marketing strategy that supports and amplifies the business’ growth plans, whilst cultivating and developing a strong team focus and inclusive culture.
With a focus on acquiring clients both regionally and in specific markets and defined verticals, as well as to deepen relationships with existing clients, including supporting the daily investment marketing needs of the business. This is an integral role to the business and will be a member of the International Private Bank Marketing Management team and sit on the wider EMEA leadership team.
Job Responsibilities
- To drive the strategic direction of the EMEA Marketing team in achieving business growth, operational excellence as well as talent acquisition and retention in partnership with regional and global business partners.
- To build and lead the EMEA Marketing team with a collaborative culture and fully connected with the international and global marketing organization.
- To formulate holistic marketing strategies to raise brand awareness, acquire new clients and deepen relationships with existing clients, based on the deep understanding of regional priorities.
- A strong focus on digital marketing with a data first approach to digital tools, applications, and maturity models.
- To partner with practice and solutions leaders to deliver practical tools to drive credit and investment flows.
- Lead the dialogue on content segmentation, persona and personalisation experiences.
- Application of AI to improve operational efficiencies and innovate strategically.
- Strong team leadership to foster positive culture and grow the team in-line with the strategic growth of the business in region.
- A deep focus on local marketing strategies, ensuring a tailored approach market-by-market, with local business objectives, local language, cultural nuance and audience segmentation at the core.
- Laser-focussed approach on driving new lead generation & client acquisition/conversion, through marketing strategies including paid media, partnerships & content strategies.
- To define, measure and evaluate KPIs on all initiatives including, as relevant, brand awareness, new leads generated, gross new clients, increases in product penetration, investment flows and share of wallet.
- To liaise with regional and global counterparts to share best practice and implement global solutions across the region.
- To undertake marketing campaigns, activities, and initiatives through a digital and data led mindset.
- To work closely and cross-functionally with market managers and business partners in the region and across the globe.
- To undertake all activities to the highest quality and regulatory standards to ensure that we conduct first-class business in a first-class way.
- To partner with other regional heads on IPB led initiatives.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Marketing professional, strategic thinker and all-round marketer with strong understanding of the EMEA competitive landscape.
- Ability to inspire, challenge and influence.
- Long-standing experience and business acumen to create country marketing strategies and promptly establish priorities and communicate expectations.
- Exceptional relationship and stakeholder management with proven track record of successfully operating in a sophisticated marketing organization.
- Record-proving team leadership experience, with proven ability to grow and manage teams across a broad spectrum of levels and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate and manage teams in a collaborative culture.
- Successful record of delivering work with measurable business results on time and on budget.
- Experienced in marketing acquisition and deepening experience gained within a Private Bank / FS / Other related industry environment.
- Marketing strategy experience.
- Deep understanding of Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals, Family Office and Multigenerational Wealth.
- Strong digital marketing and data acumen, with proven track record and experience of delivering digital marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Ideally strong knowledge of the Private Bank industry (or similar) in EMEA.
- Creative mind with the ability to formulate strategy and solid project management capabilities to take this to execution.
