Are you a recognised authority in equities execution who turns deep market-structure and performance insight into a measurable edge for clients using electronic trading platforms? As an Executive Director in our Equities Electronic Trading team, you will lead the execution consulting agenda at the heart of our electronic trading platform - shaping how we analyse, optimise, and advise clients to improve performance outcomes. If you combine analytical rigour, have a deep set of performance optimisation experience, and a senior systematic client presence, we encourage you to apply.

As an Executive Director in Execution Consulting within the Electronic Client Solutions (ECS) team, you will play a leading role in the analysis, research, and client engagement that underpin the performance of our algorithmic trading and liquidity products. You will help drive the execution-performance narrative across the platform, set the research agenda, and translate insight into product priorities and better client outcomes. Acting as a senior advisor to our most sophisticated clients and a partner to Sales, Trading, Technology, and Quantitative Research, you will represent the franchise externally, mentor a team of consultants and analysts, and play a central role in the growth and success of our electronic trading business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Help to set the strategic agenda for execution consulting and performance analysis across the EMEA algorithmic and liquidity product suite.
  • Drive the platform-wide execution-performance narrative, developing analysis and research that identify opportunities to improve execution quality and reduce client trading costs.
  • Act as a senior, trusted advisor to our most significant clients - leading execution reviews, bespoke analysis, and strategic dialogue on trading performance and market structure.
  • Educate clients on our product suite, creating high-impact thought leadership pieces and client marketing to communicate the impact of our execution research.
  • Produce and oversee in-depth analysis of product usage, client trends, execution performance, and revenues to inform business and product strategy.
  • Shape the product roadmap in partnership with Technology and Quantitative Research, prioritising enhancements grounded in performance evidence and market-structure insight.
  • Represent the franchise externally - with clients, at industry forums, and in market-structure and regulatory dialogue.
  • Mentor and develop consultants and analysts, raising the analytical and commercial capability of the team.
  • Maintain authoritative knowledge of equities trading, market structure, and the evolving regulatory landscape.
  • Ensure adherence with all relevant regulatory, best-execution, and control requirements.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Extensive experience in execution consulting, algorithmic trading, product management, or quantitative trading within equities, with a track record of senior client and stakeholder impact.
  • Authoritative understanding of equities market structure and market microstructure.
  • Strong quantitative and statistical skills, with the ability to interrogate large execution and trading datasets and translate them into actionable insight.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a research or consulting agenda and influence product strategy across functions.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages (including Python, q/KDB), with confidence handling large tick/trade datasets.
  • Senior client-facing presence with excellent communication skills and strong commercial awareness.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Experience leading or mentoring a team of consultants or analysts.
  • Established profile in the market-structure or execution-research community.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across technology, quantitative research, trading, legal/compliance, and sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
