Overview
In this role you will lead complex employee relations matters and investigations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa to deliver fair, consistent outcomes. You collaborate with senior leaders in HR, Legal and control functions to tackle people challenges and strengthen regional employee relations capability. You will coach ER professionals, maintain governance and risk controls, and identify trends to improve the employee and manager experience. This position sits at the intersection of policy, investigations, and cross-functional partnership to support a trusted workplace.
Responsibilities
- Champion the strategic direction of the Employee Relations function and deliver a high-quality experience for employees, managers, HR partners, and control functions
- Lead workplace investigations and ER matters across EMEA to resolve concerns and issues, escalating complex or high-risk cases as needed
- Advise on investigation planning, evidence assessment, findings, and recommendations to support fair, consistent, well-documented decisions
- Serve as a senior SME on grievances, disciplinary processes, conduct matters, labor relations, and organizational change
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, Global Security, Audit, Risk, HR, and business stakeholders to assess and resolve ER matters
- Guide HR teams and senior leaders on policy interpretation and people risk, including workforce changes and M&A activity
- Maintain robust quality standards for case management, governance, and regulatory compliance
- Coach and develop ER professionals, strengthening investigation skills and continuous learning
- Collaborate globally to align regional practices with local legal and regulatory requirements
- Identify themes, trends, and risks across case activity and provide actionable insights
- Drive process improvements to enhance service delivery, efficiency, experience, and risk management
Key requirements
- Significant, relevant employee relations experience
- Experience leading complex investigations end-to-end (planning, interviewing, documentation, findings)
- Experience handling sensitive, high-risk ER matters with confidentiality and fairness
- Strong knowledge of ER practices including grievances, disciplinary processes, conduct, and organizational change
- Ability to advise and influence senior stakeholders across HR, Legal, and control functions
- Strong written communication for clear case documentation
- Proven ability to apply governance and quality controls to case management
- Experience identifying themes from casework and translating into improvements
