Overview

In this role you strengthen the conduct risk and Consumer Duty framework within the International Consumer team, guiding colleagues to deliver good outcomes. You will assess risk, provide practical advice, and turn insights into actions that improve products, services and customer journeys. Working with cross-functional partners, you will promote a culture where customer needs guide decision-making. Responsibilities

  • Advance the ongoing implementation and enhancement of Consumer Duty and the conduct risk framework within International Consumer.
  • Build partnerships across Product, Operations, Compliance, Risk and Control to identify and address risks to customer outcomes.
  • Challenge and advise on new and existing products, services and changes with a focus on customer impact and conduct risk.
  • Deliver thematic reviews and assessments against FCA best practices to surface risks and opportunities to improve outcomes.
  • Analyse complaints, incidents and feedback to identify trends and preventative actions.
  • Develop and maintain conduct risk metrics and reporting that drive meaningful insights for decision-making.
  • Prepare materials for Board, senior management and governance forums.
  • Leverage data analytics, automation and AI to enhance monitoring, reporting and insight generation within governance frameworks.
  • Track agreed actions and remediation through to completion.
  • Support regulatory requests, audits, reviews and governance activities related to Consumer Duty and conduct risk.
  • Contribute to conduct risk capability through guidance, training and knowledge sharing.

Key requirements

  • Experience in conduct risk, customer outcomes, compliance, complaints, remediation or related regulated roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with evidence-based recommendations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for complex information.
  • Experience preparing management information or governance materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience using data to support decision-making, continuous improvement and insight generation.
  • Interest in using data, automation and emerging technologies including AI to improve reporting and efficiency.
