As an Investment Specialist – Fixed Income within the Global Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities team in J.P. Morgan Asset Management, you will help connect our investment thinking to client needs through insight-led storytelling and high-quality materials. You will partner closely with portfolio managers and distribution teams to articulate views, portfolio positioning, and performance drivers in a clear and credible way. You will play an important role in servicing existing relationships and supporting new business opportunities. Job responsibilities
- Analyse portfolio positioning, risk, analytics, and performance outcomes to support client conversations.
- Create and maintain client presentations, marketing materials, performance commentary, and written communications.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests from clients and internal stakeholders with accuracy and urgency.
- Facilitate external and internal meetings, including client pitches, portfolio reviews, and strategy discussions.
- Partner with client advisors to support new business opportunities, including pitch materials and RFP coordination.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of fixed income portfolios, market drivers, and product positioning.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Demonstrated experience in fixed income, credit, rates, or multi-sector bond markets.
- Ideal candidate will have experience with Insurance investment management including understanding of Solvency II and insurance accounting.
- Proven ability to communicate market and portfolio concepts clearly in writing and verbally.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with a track record of producing high-quality, client-ready materials.
- Strong analytical skills, including comfort with financial calculations and numerical reasoning.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurately under tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset, with consistent follow-through.
- Collaborative working style with the ability to build effective partnerships across functions.
- Degree-level education (or equivalent practical experience).
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Progress toward or completion of a relevant UK-recognised investment qualification (e.g., IMC, CFA, or CISI).
- Experience supporting RFPs, pitch processes, or institutional/wholesale client coverage.
- Familiarity with portfolio analytics and performance/risk tools used in asset management.
- Comfort presenting to internal stakeholders or clients and contributing to meeting discussions.
- Additional technical skills (e.g., data visualisation or automation in Excel).
