As a Principal Software Engineer in Asset & Wealth Management, you will provide deep technical expertise and engineering leadership as part of an agile team. You will design, build, and deliver secure, stable, and scalable technology products that support one or more of our portfolios. You will collaborate across the organization to promote best-in-class outcomes, drive the adoption of AI technologies, and influence leaders and stakeholders. Your work will help us deliver trusted solutions that support our clients and business objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create complex and scalable coding frameworks using industry-standard software design principles
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others
- Advise cross-functional teams on technology matters within your domain of expertise
- Drive the adoption of AI technologies to enhance software capabilities and user experience
- Serve as the go-to subject matter expert for your function
- Contribute to the development of technical methods in specialized fields aligned with the latest product development methodologies
- Create durable, reusable software frameworks leveraged across teams and functions

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with proven applied experience
- Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Extensive experience in enterprise programming with a strong understanding of technology and development principles
- Proficiency in modern cloud platforms, especially AWS, with experience designing and managing scalable cloud-based solutions
- Experience integrating AI and machine learning technologies into software solutions
- Proven skills in database design, optimization, and maintenance, ensuring data integrity and performance
- Demonstrated experience leading teams using agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
- Advanced knowledge of software application development and technical processes in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile)
- Experience applying expertise and new methods to solve complex technology problems
- Ability to present and communicate effectively with senior leaders and executives
- Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
