Join a fast-paced Commodities Operations team supporting a global commodities platform across physical and financial products. You will help deliver reliable settlement outcomes for clients and trading partners across precious metals, base metals, and energy. This role offers high visibility through daily partnership with trading, sales, credit, legal, technology, and operations stakeholders. You will contribute to control discipline, risk management, and continuous process improvement.

As a Trade Support Analyst in Commodities Operations, you support the end-to-end physical settlement lifecycle across metals and energy while maintaining strong operational controls. You partner with internal stakeholders and external depositories and vendors to ensure accurate positions, balances, invoicing, and documentation. You help manage operational risk by delivering reconciliations, resolving exceptions, and supporting change initiatives that improve efficiency and client outcomes.

Job responsibilities:

  • Facilitate physical settlement activities for metals and energy transactions
  • Coordinate with depositories, vendors, and clients to ensure timely, accurate settlement outcomes
  • Monitor and manage custody balances and related exposure at third-party depositories
  • Perform daily controls, reconciliations, and exception management to mitigate operational risk
  • Process and validate incoming and outgoing invoices for custody and settlement services
  • Maintain accurate account setup, static data, and supporting documentation
  • Investigate breaks, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Partner with trading, sales, credit, legal, technology, and operations teams to resolve issues
  • Track deliverables to meet tight cutoffs, deadlines, and service level expectations
  • Support projects and change initiatives to improve processes and control effectiveness

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate work under time-sensitive deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivots, and basic data analysis)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve breaks end-to-end
  • Strong attention to detail and data quality mindset
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage workload across competing deadlines
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for internal and external partner interaction
  • Proven ownership and accountability for completing tasks and escalating risks appropriately
  • Experience processing invoices and/or supporting reconciliation and control routines
  • Ability to operate effectively in a regulated environment with strong control discipline

  • Experience in markets operations supporting commodities and/or physical settlement workflows
  • Familiarity with precious metals custody and/or base metals settlement processes
  • Experience partnering with depositories, custodians, or third-party vendors

  • Working knowledge of trade lifecycle concepts and operational risk controls
