Overview
In this role you support JPMorgan Chase’s risk management by onboarding asset management clients and assessing risk profiles to enable activity through credit lines. Working within a global Credit Risk Middle Office, you’ll partner with lines of business to align client needs with risk frameworks, primarily for derivatives trading and custody services. You will contribute to process improvements and strengthened controls while collaborating across teams to address risk and lifecycle events. You’ll operate in a dynamic setting that emphasizes data quality, independent analysis, and cross-functional cooperation, offering an opportunity to shape risk practices at scale.
Responsibilities
- Analyse documentation to understand fund/client investment strategies, structure, and restrictions
- Identify and escalate potential risk concerns to support limit and documentation decisions
- Investigate and complete client write-ups to support eligibility as counterparties
- Collaborate with lines of business to align client objectives with risk framework and operating model
- Create negotiation requests for legal documentation to facilitate trading activity
- Perform annual reviews to ensure credit limits and risk ratings reflect current financial information
- Improve processes and controls to strengthen operational efficiency, including through emerging technologies
Key requirements
- Entry level or experience in reporting, financial analytics, or a related role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Adaptability and learning mindset; eagerness to learn new technologies
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and data quality
- Critical thinking and ability to work independently to drive issues to resolution
- Ability to prioritise work and deliver continuous process improvements
