We are currently recruiting for an Ofsted Registered Children's Home Manager for a new service opening in Brightlingsea. This service will be an 8-10 bed service supporting children with learning disabilities and complex needs, offering them a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment where they can thrive.
As a Registered Manager, you’ll be at the heart of a home that prioritises emotional security, development, and personalised care. You’ll bring passion, purpose, and structure—leading a dedicated team that delivers excellence in care, promotes independence, and helps every child reach their full potential.
Requirements:
- Experience managing a children's residential home, preferably for those with learning difficulties, ASD, or complex needs
- Demonstrated ability to manage compliance, inspections, and quality standards in line with Ofsted
- Proven experience in managing staff teams and supporting their development
- Confident in safeguarding, care planning, and working with multi-agency professionals
- Budgeting, rota management, and risk management experience
- Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills
- Current Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Proficient with digital care systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience:
- Care Management: 2 years (required)
Licence / Certification:
- Driving Licence (required)
