Registered Children’s Home Manager
Location: Romford, Essex
Salary: £50,000–£60,000, depending on experience
Service: 3-bed EBD children’s home, rated Good
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent, full-time
JP Healthcare Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead an established 3-bed EBD home in Romford, currently rated Good.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the home
- Lead, supervise and develop the staff team
- Maintain excellent safeguarding and care standards
- Ensure policies, procedures and regulations are followed
- Oversee recruitment, induction, training and appraisals
- Manage rotas, staffing resources and out-of-hours support
- Monitor quality, performance and service development
- Manage budgets and resources effectively
- Build strong relationships with families and external agencies
Requirements
- Previous management experience within children’s residential care
- Experience working with children and young people with EBD needs
- Strong safeguarding and Ofsted knowledge
- Experience supervising and developing residential care staff
- Confident leadership and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to participate in a management on-call rota
- Commitment to achieving positive outcomes for young people
