JP Healthcare Recruitment are currently recruiting for two experienced Senior Residential Support Workers to join a children’s residential service in Fareham supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people within a supportive and therapeutic environment.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
  • Previous experience working within children’s residential care
  • Full UK driving licence – essential
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to support young people with challenging behaviours and complex needs

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the staff team during shifts
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members
  • Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day running of the home
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people
  • Promote education, independence and daily living skills
  • Support care planning and keyworker responsibilities
  • Attend meetings and complete accurate records/documentation
  • Create a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for young people
